Introduction

Welcome to PrintaOne. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website and on-demand 3D printing services. By placing an order or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Our Service

PrintaOne provides on-demand additive manufacturing (3D printing) services. We manufacture products based on customer-selected options, configurations, or customer-provided digital design files.

Every order is produced specifically for the customer and is not manufactured until an order is placed and payment is confirmed.

2. Customer Responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring that:

  • All information provided during checkout is accurate.
  • Uploaded design files are complete, valid, and suitable for printing.
  • Dimensions, tolerances, materials, colors, finishes, and quantities are correct before you place your order.
  • Your shipping and contact information is accurate.

Once manufacturing begins, orders cannot be modified or canceled except as stated in our Refund Policy.

3. Customer Design Files

If you upload CAD models or other digital files (including STP, STEP, 3MF, STL, OBJ, or similar formats), you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the design or have permission to use and reproduce it.
  • The design does not infringe any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights.
  • The design does not violate any applicable law.

PrintaOne does not verify ownership of uploaded files and accepts them in good faith.

You agree to indemnify and hold PrintaOne harmless against claims arising from the files you submit.

4. Intellectual Property

Customers retain ownership of the intellectual property in their uploaded designs.

By submitting a design for manufacturing, you grant PrintaOne a limited, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, process, and manufacture the design solely to fulfill your order.

PrintaOne will not sell, license, or commercially reproduce your designs except as necessary to complete your order or as required by law.

5. Manufacturing Tolerances

3D printing is an additive manufacturing process. Unlike injection molding or CNC machining, each printed part may exhibit minor variations inherent to the process.

Normal characteristics include, but are not limited to:

  • Visible layer lines
  • Minor surface texture variations
  • Small support removal or post-processing marks
  • Print seam lines
  • Slight color or finish variations between batches
  • Minor dimensional deviations within reasonable manufacturing tolerances
  • Small cosmetic imperfections that do not affect intended function

These characteristics are normal and expected and are not considered manufacturing defects.

Unless otherwise specified, products are manufactured for functional performance rather than cosmetic perfection. Cosmetic variations that do not materially affect intended use, structural integrity, or functionality do not qualify for replacement, repair, or refund under our Refund Policy.

6. Product Suitability

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, products manufactured by PrintaOne are not certified or intended for:

  • Medical applications
  • Implantable devices
  • Life-support equipment
  • Aviation
  • Automotive safety systems
  • Structural engineering
  • Fire safety equipment
  • Military applications
  • Any safety-critical use

You are solely responsible for determining whether a printed part is suitable for its intended purpose.

7. Prohibited Orders

PrintaOne reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order involving:

  • Illegal products
  • Weapons or weapon components
  • Explosives
  • Counterfeit products
  • Designs that infringe intellectual property rights
  • Hate symbols or unlawful content
  • Any product prohibited by applicable law

We may refuse or cancel any order at our sole discretion.

8. Pricing

Unless otherwise stated, product prices displayed on our website include applicable taxes where required.

Shipping within Japan is charged at a flat rate of ¥750 per order. Orders with a subtotal of ¥7,000 or more (before shipping and taxes) qualify for free standard shipping within Japan. The applicable shipping rate is shown at checkout before you complete your order. See our Shipping Policy for full details.

Prices may change without prior notice. Once an order is placed and confirmed, the price at the time of purchase applies to that order.

9. Production & Delivery

Production begins after payment is confirmed. For most standard orders, production and quality check typically take approximately 2–5 business days, depending on print size, material, and current production schedule.

Complex geometries, multi-part assemblies, special materials, manually reviewed quotes, or orders placed during high-volume periods may require additional time. If we expect your order to take longer than the standard estimate, we will contact you by email with an updated timeline before or during production.

All production and delivery timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to:

  • Print complexity or manual review requirements
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Material shortages
  • Supplier delays
  • High order volume or production capacity
  • Shipping carrier delays
  • Events beyond our reasonable control

10. Inspection Upon Delivery

Inspect your order promptly upon receipt.

Manufacturing defects, shipping damage, or incorrect items must be reported within 7 days of delivery, as described in our Refund Policy.

11. Returns & Refunds

Returns, refunds, and replacements are governed by our Refund Policy.

Because every order is custom manufactured, returns are generally not accepted except for manufacturing defects, shipping damage, or our error.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PrintaOne shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of profits
  • Loss of business
  • Lost data
  • Indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages

Our total liability arising from any order shall not exceed the amount you paid for that specific order.

13. Product Use

You are solely responsible for:

  • Testing printed parts before use
  • Ensuring suitability for the intended application
  • Safe installation and operation
  • Compliance with applicable laws and regulations

PrintaOne is not responsible for damage or injury resulting from misuse, improper installation, modification, or use outside the intended purpose.

14. Warranty Disclaimer

Except where required by law, all products and services are provided "as is" and "as available."

PrintaOne disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law.

15. Force Majeure

PrintaOne is not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, power outages, labor disputes, supplier failures, transportation disruptions, cyberattacks, governmental actions, or other unforeseen events.

16. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms take effect when published on this website.

Continued use of our services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
